OK, so I've beena member of this site for a while now. I joined mainly to be able to view the art without many ad interruptions. I felt kinda weird about being a member because I haven't done much artistic in years. I loved to draw growing up, I Was an art minor in college, and had really wanted to do something with scientific illustration, but once I graduated from college and got out in the real world and started dealing with life and bills and the rest of the stuff that comes with growing up, art took a back seat. I managed to work on some exhibits when I worked at the local Children's Museum, I designed a logo for an exhibit and did several murals on exhibit walls, helped in redesigning small bit of the water exhibit, and started concept sketches for the toddler area. But I ended up leaving the museum before I some items were finished.
Fast forward many years and here I am, slowly getting more into the site and decided to finally post something I've done. What I've been doing most recently instead of drawing is working on miniatures for the game Battletech. I haven't gotten too much paint on my minis, but I have been having fun modifying the existing Iron Wind Metals miniatures to make custom designs, create load outs that don't actually have a physical mini, or just repose the mini to be more dynamic.
To that end I have posted some pictures of my most recent works: one a repose to be more dynamic, and the other an attempt to make the mini look less flat and fat, and more like the artwork in the Technical Read Out 3085 book.
To that end if anybody looks at these, please feel free to give any comments as posting them here gives a potential for more views than posting only on the Classic Battetech forums.
And if you're reading this or looking at the minis, Thank you for just checking them out.
